COVID Retrospective: A Three Year Review

The past three years have provided us with interesting history, and valuable lessons. Here’s my story. In February of 2020, I was on one of the last cruises before the entire industry became land bound. News of a serious viral outbreak had just broken. Though the lockdowns had not yet begun, tensions were still high. While cruising around Barbados, passengers awaited test results for a cruise worker who had symptoms of the dreaded Corona Virus. As it turned out, he had the flu. Conversations were ‘nervous’. I advised people not to fear and instead focus on building their immune systems.  As someone who spent years in the naturopathic world, I talked about what I talk about all the time! There was no hint that the lockdowns that would be happening just a few weeks later.

I was worried about finding the right chair on the sun deck. Meanwhile, we were at the precipice of the unraveling of the American way of life.  It was at this time that the “conspiracy theories” began to download onto laptops, phones, and social media accounts. People trusted the experts explicitly. They pulled up their masks, stayed home, and became glued to incessant talk of imminent death. Network and cable news shows had “covid death meters” constantly running the latest metrics across their screens. It was insane.  I had never, in my lifetime, seen anything like it.

It took almost a year to learn of someone I personally knew who had COVID.  It actually turned out to be a wonderful time to travel. Planes were empty. There was no traffic. Tickets were super cheap.  Until August of 2020, travel was a cinch. While COVID was certainly real, as we sat there in the “height” of the pandemic I found it strange that, as I maintained a “normal” life, the virus was actually quite hard to find.  I tried to reconcile what I was hearing with what I was experiencing. Despite the news of hospitals at capacity, many doctors were being laid off. Ships were converted to hospitals to help with supposed overloading. It turned out those ships went unused.  A first responder friend was getting daily “covid updates” from her country – including ventilator counts, and there were always more ventilators in use for non-COVID conditions than for COVID. But that detail never made it to the evening news.

As January 2021 came, and people began to get vaccinated. It seemed that everyone was getting sick.  As “theories” began to emerge to account for the difference between narratives and observations, governments, big tech, and multinational corporations began to limit information and communications that that questioned the “official” narrative. In true authoritarian style, they fact checked anything that didn’t support this narrative. Even humor and parody were not spared.

But as it turned out, the fact checkers were just ordinary Americans with no better information or experience than the average Joe. One of these fact checkers had a bio that allegedly included experience as a stripper. Perhaps that qualified as a fact checking medical profession in 2021. In any event, all the fact checkers seemed to be entirely in sync, dutifully touting government rhetoric with no hint of due diligence to be found. Surely, if they agreed with each other, that must mean that they were correct, right? This is where we are in post-COVID America. Fearful and propagandized, with a lack of reliable information or trust in our most important institutions. And in the most information-accessible time in world history.

Lessons of History

For the first time in my life, I can understand Nazi Germany.  As a child – and even an adult – I could not grasp the idea of people willingly getting on a train and heading to a concentration camp.  Yet when done in the name of “safety”, it makes perfect sense.  While the Nazis used this tactic to move the Jews along, they did the same with the German people. The cast Jewish citizens as contagious, disease-carrying vermin.  Moving the Jews to other places meant a safe place for the rest of compliant society. Who doesn’t want safety, right?

If you want to move a society in a particular direction, give them fear and tell them to trust your solution.  They will do anything to feel safe, cozy, and stay in complete ignorance.  As all of society sheltered-in-place, masked-up, missed critical learning, and was forced to vaccinate, we plunged into a psychological abyss where people couldn’t distinguish between truth and propaganda. Mounting confusion led us to believe we held no rights. We needed to deny our sovereignty, and endure the discomfort for the “safety” of others. We were told that the sacrifice of our personal liberties was for a greater good.

Overview of Results

We saw how this played out. Authorities pitted neighbor against neighbor and mother against daughter… to keep us safe. Never mind the mitigating factors, pre-existing conditions, or unintended consequences. The safety afforded society by keeping you masked and vaccinated was so important, none of those other things mattered. And what were the results? A few deaths from lack of oxygen, with many of those likely due to problematic hospital protocols or a lack of early treatment. A new phenomenon of mask acne. Significant learning delays across the educational spectrum. Psychological programming that still has some people believing that masks can magically protect them. Yes, it would take magic for a mask to prevent a virus.

If you did get the clot shot, you are probably torn between feeling protected from Covid (until you got covid… and possibly got covid again…and again), and wondering why people seem to be dropping like flies from any number of maladies.  If you are susceptible to the propaganda machine, you may now believe the reports that: 1) gardening can lead to cardiac arrest, 2) there is some other rational reason for the vastly higher rate of athlete deaths in the past year than the past 60 years, and 3) it is normal for 12 year olds to have heart attacks and strokes. If we are keeping score, conspiracy theorists – 10, mainstream media and fact-checkers – 0.

‘Education’ Exposed

Beyond the lessons of the unprotective masking and death shots, it also became clear that the American education system had been transformed with a progressive liberal agenda, much to the dismay of middle America. Evidently the agenda had been hidden behind a wall of misguided trust. Parents had been sending their kids off to school believing they were learning English, history, science, and arithmetic. But when those students began to be taught at home, this misguided trust was discovered. The agendas, previously unknown to parents, were now plain to see. It turned out that most schools were in fact teaching much more than “the basics”. The lessons were all about equity and social justice – not traditional education. This discovery spawned a nationwide debate about the role of our schools. The result was a full court press by parents at school board meetings. It’s worth noting that equal opportunity (far different than “equity”) is in fact best created by a stellar education!

As the quality of our education has plummeted, teachers unions and local governments have shown that they are more concerned with eroding years of progress leading to equality and opportunity in women’ sports. The post-truth identity agenda compromised safety and privacy in womens’ bathrooms and locker rooms. They want to ensure that Todd who now identifies as Tina has the right to share that bathroom and take that spot on the team – while our daughters are made to feel guilty to even raise questions about the matter. Where has critical thinking gone? Is that education or a propaganda machine designed to hold back the success of any child who questions the system and walks through the door of common sense?

Conclusion

So these past three years have led us to a crossroads.  We have come through lockdowns, unfounded mandates, and forced injections. We have seen the indoctrination of a generation of kids that now discusses 57 genders and allows a “they/them” to use their daughters’ restroom. We have seen our daughters lose their spot on the team without so much as a question. We need to stop complying. Want a successful child? It is time to find the homeschooling crowd; that would be my first suggestion. Find a school that doesn’t accept government funding. But the real end game? If the government advises and promotes one direction, run the other way. Question everything. And if you are being led by fear, you are probably running in the wrong direction. I’ve got the past three years, and my winning record of conspiracy theories to prove it.

Uniparty Strikes Again: New PA Voter ID Amendment Isn’t What We Thought

Valid photo ID.  You need it to rent a car, to purchase alcohol, and adopt a pet.  You even need it to buy cough syrup at the grocery store.  So, when it comes to voting, it doesn’t seem to be asking too much to provide an ID before receiving a ballot to vote in our elections.  After all, 80% of Americans support requiring ID in order to vote, according to a Monmouth University poll.

That is what we are getting when the House finally reconvenes this year to pass SB1 which will put the issue of voter ID on the ballot for a decision from the voters, right?  Not exactly.

When the constitutional amendment on voter ID was first introduced last session, it came by way of SB106 from Representative Wheeland in the House.  Senate Bill No. 106 was initially limited to only the amendment on relinquishing our ability to elect our Lieutenant Governor when it was reported by the Senate in early 2021.  Once the bill made its way to the House, it was changed by way of several amendments; those changes included voter ID and election audits.  It was not perfect.  Representative Wheeland reduced the residency requirements significantly to a mere 30 days prior to an election.  But his amendment provided simple language that required all voters to present valid identification before voting, and it would have finally allowed a means for our Auditor General to regularly audit the conduct of our elections.

After nearly a year lapse from its creation, SB106 passed finally in the House and was sent back over to the Senate to travel through the Rules committee before the Senate would vote on its concurrence.  This is where it gets a little hairy.

SB106, with its several popular amendments, was once again altered in the Rules committee.  The amendment introduced by Senator Kim Ward, a supposed Republican, removed the election audit amendment previously introduced by Representative Keefer.  Senator Ward further amended the language in the voter ID bill that created wholly distinct requirements based upon voter method.  For those voting in person, ID must first be presented BEFORE being given a ballot.  If you choose to vote not in person (absentee, mail-in, email, etc.), ID does not need to be presented until AFTER receiving a ballot.

For those with a specialized knack for the word salad game politicians like to play, when a voter must present ID is not the only concern with this bill.  First, there is nothing contained in the language that specifies a requirement for photo identification.  The term “valid identification” can be whatever the courts, or the legislature, decide it to be after the public has already voted to pass the constitutional amendment.

Additionally, while voter ID is reserved to that of an unexpired government-issued ID, it is easily negated by the clause that immediately follows…”unless otherwise provided for by law.”  This leaves the door wide open for the state’s activist judges to interpret in their favor, as they have taken it upon themselves to do over the last few years.

Other subtle nuances in the language and punctuation exist for the keen reader that leave loopholes should it pass into law, but the bottom line is that the language was altered by Senator Ward in such a way as to make the constitutional amendment for voter ID significantly weaker than it was originally.

If that alone wasn’t enough to tip your hat, Senator Ward attached the constitutional amendment on abortion to the bill.  Had this been purposefully executed to hold Republicans hostage to vote to pass the altered language on voter ID as well as the removal of the election audit amendment?

Ironically, the very same day that Senator Ward introduced her amendment to SB106, she also introduced the amendment to SB982 (now ACT88 of 2022), affectionately known as the “ZuckBucks” bill, which drastically altered the intention of the bill to ensure that officials had a loophole to continue soliciting private monies, reduced the penalty if caught, and made the requirements for the county grant program unenforceable.  Both amendments were rushed through at the end of the last session.

Fast forward to this year and the voter ID amendment is introduced in the Senate for the second round as Senate Bill 1.  It was the only issue originally contained in SB1.  Yet, for some reason, the bill skipped the typical process after passing on second and was sent to the Rules committee where Senator Pittman amended it to include the Rozzi statute of limitations proposal, whereby Democrats will most assuredly support its passage.  The only person with the authority to redirect a bill in the Senate is the President Pro Tempore, Senator Kim Ward.  Why does it seem like Senator Ward is pulling out all the stops to get the flawed voter ID amendment through?

This is not just your everyday, run-of-the-mill statutory bill that can be repealed at a later date.  A constitutional amendment amends our Constitution.  It is a highly involved process which takes two sessions to be voted on and passed by a majority of both chambers and further passed by the electors of the state via a referendum on the ballot.  Any bad language that is amended into our Constitution must also undergo the same process to be removed.  Changes to our Constitution should not be taken lightly.

So now you, Pennsylvanians, must decide – Is the reward of having a generalized concept of voter ID greater than the risk of also having the dangerous language cemented in our Constitution?

Election Pressure in Lehigh Valley, PA

0

The Lehigh County Board of Elections will convene a meeting today at 3:00 PM in the Public Hearing Room, Government Center, 17 South 7th Street, Allentown, for the purpose of First Certification of the 2022 General Election Results within Lehigh County and for general purposes. During this First Certification meeting, resident Christi Delp will present 2 issues she observed during the November 8th General Election drop box retrieval of ballots and to recommend viable solutions to improve transparency and voter integrity.

One major issue was the total lack of surveillance in the general vicinity of back of the drop box.  Although surveillance cameras did capture a 1’-2’ area directly behind the drop box, not a single camera view included the area from beyond 2’ from the drop box to a customer service desk located approximately 6’ from the drop box.  This area was the only space in the entire room that was not under surveillance, which makes that space open to many vulnerabilities.

Another concern was with the drop box Seals.  Breaking the seal is an integral part of the security procedure of retrieving the ballots from the Drop Box, transferring the ballot to a secure election suitcase, and transporting the ballots to the election headquarters located in another area of the building.  On 11/3 the security seal was not attached properly and on 11/8 the seal was not dated.  Although this seems minor, it is an important step in drop box security.

Mrs. Delp will recommend to the board to integrate a scanner/printer into the drop box.  Mail-In/Absentee Ballots already have a bar code printed on the outer envelope.  The scanner will tabulate the number of ballots received, and print a receipt for each voter.

Another area of concern that voters should be aware is the vulnerability of the Mail-in/Absentee Ballots.  These ballots are handled by many different postal workers with no accountability required by the Lehigh County Board of Elections.  There is no documentation required when the ballot envelopes are received with in-coming mail, nor when the ballots are delivered to the Lehigh County Government Center.  The number of Mail-In/Absentee votes cast are increasing at a very rapid rate, particularly now that requests can be made with No Excuse.

Most importantly, in light of the alleged voter fraud by the Delaware County Election Board, voters will be interested in learning what proof the Lehigh County Board of Elections can offer that no official ballots were mailed to any unverified voter, no voter registration records were deleted after Election Day, and that there were no issues with the chain of custody on Election Day regarding the physical ballots/V-drives.

Lehigh County residents are encouraged to attend and ask questions of the board.
