Welcoming

What the Left thinks: A standard that ensures that everyone affirms the beliefs of the Left.

Definition: Providing a kind, warm, and civil reception to other people.

Description: “Welcoming”, like so many other virtue-signaling ideas is generally a one-way street with the Left. It is not enough for people to just be kind, warm, and civil with those who do not share liberal values. To be “welcoming”, the demand is that you abandon your own beliefs and convictions. And it often doesn’t stop there. There is an expectation that you demonstrably affirm beliefs that are not genuinely held. Finally, it notable that there is generally no deliberate systemic effort to similarly encourage a “welcoming spirit” toward those who embrace Conservative, traditional values.

The premise of this glossary is that the Left has attempted (somewhat successfully) to commandeer our language. With this resource, we are working to restore it to it’s rightful order.
