As the November 5th, 2024 General Election approaches, a pressing concern looms over the Republican Party: a significant estimated percentage (20-55%) of registered Republicans are choosing not to exercise their fundamental right to vote. This issue demands immediate attention, serving as both a challenge and a rallying cry for action. It is time to awaken this political force within Republican ranks – not merely by targeting new voters but by energizing those who have opted to remain on the sidelines.
In Pennsylvania, approximately 66% of the voting-eligible population turned out for the 2020 presidential election, marking the highest rate since 1900. Even the 2022 election, with a turnout rate of 46%, surpassed that of all midterms since 1970. In an environment marred by political division, ideological clashes, and weak leadership, the way forward does not solely hinge on registering new voters. Instead, the key lies in mobilizing existing registered Republicans.
Many within the Republican party feel a sense of detachment, believing their individual voice may not sway election outcomes. Rather than focusing on those on the periphery, the strategy must shift to galvanize registered Republicans, helping them recognize the profound impact their vote can have on the nation’s future. The potential to increase votes is within reach, and this added vote count can significantly thwart attempts to manipulate election results. For instance, a higher turnout provides a larger pool of valid votes, which can minimize the significance of any irregularities, and help close the gap between real voters and fraudulent ballots. Even a slight bump can make the difference between a win or a loss, let alone if we all do our duty!
The recent exciting and strong leadership change with Michael Whatley and Lara Trump at the helm of the Republican National Committee (RNC), signals a promising shift toward acknowledging and addressing this alarming trend, presenting an opportunity for strategic recalibration to tackle the root causes of disengagement within the GOP. The strategy should revolve around communicating the critical importance of each individual vote. The party needs to redefine the narrative surrounding voting, emphasizing that a vote is not a mere statistic but a powerful tool shaping the future of the nation. This narrative should inspire empowerment and civic duty, stressing that every Republican vote is not optional.
Outreach efforts should be tailored to identify and dismantle any barriers or concerns preventing registered Republicans from desiring to exercise their fundamental right to vote, whether related to election security, logistical challenges, or a lack of information. This does not imply blind allegiance to Republican candidates. It is time we exercise 100% of our votes to support America-First leaders and vote-out Republicans who diverge on critical issues. The urgency of the 2024 Presidential election demands a united front, a consolidated effort to present a force that cannot be undermined.
We the People will stand for the Bible, our Constitution, and therefore, America-First. As we march towards the front lines, the message must be crystal clear – Republicans, despite our differences, must flood the ballot boxes to elect our candidate, Donald J. Trump, on November 5th, 2024. This is undeniably the final opportunity if we are to uphold and sustain a Constitutional Republic.
We have little time left to awaken the dormant force within the Republican base to ensure that every vote is cast. It’s time for you and me to get to work to recruit every Republican we know to VOTE!
The message is simple: Vote – Just Vote. The nation’s future depends on it.
