We have seen over and over how crazy theories have been characterized as absurd. We have been told that they should not be entertained and yet, in many cases, they were proven to be true. The Liberty Lens has high standards for truth and care a great deal about the facts. At the same time, we don’t exploit “fact-checking” and “community standards” as cover for censorship of evidence and accurate information. This category provides a place for “crazy” theories to be scrutinized and tested for truthfulness. Stories that pass that test will be “promoted” to news. Until then, we have set aside “The Conspiracy Corner” for these kinds of stories, studies, and resources. This gives them some visibility and lets people scrutinize them without impacting the rest of The Liberty Lens material. You never know when today’s conspiracy theory will become tomorrow’s breaking news.
