The Liberty Lens has released its Statement on DEI, and invited stakeholders for universities across the country, and from all walks of life, to sign on. The document consists of: 1) The Statement, 2) fourteen Premises, 3) questions to university officials on behalf of several constituent groups – alumni & donors, students & parents, employees, and visitors, and 4) a signature block. Upon submitting their signatures, signers are presented with an option to submit evidence. This can include evidence of discrimination or mistreatment on ideological grounds, or evidence of terminated or decreased giving to universities.
The Liberty Lens will only publish summary level data. Supporters of the statement maintain that their positions are grounded, ultimately, in a genuine desire to improve universities and societal outcomes.
Any university can be listed on the statement, provided it has a liaison with the ability to present the statement to, and receive responses from, representative university officials.
